CHASITY BILZING

MA, RESIDENT IN COUNSELING

Chasity is approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Resident in Counseling to work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She earned her Masters in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Walden University with a specialization in Military Culture. Chasity has over 10+ years working with children, adolescents, and their families for the Department of Defense and for Social Services that enabled her to gain experience from a diverse population that included working directly in the community with families with special needs. As a military spouse herself for thirteen years, Chasity believes that her personal and professional experiences with military families has fostered her development as a counselor and connects her to the military community.

Chasity is most passionate about working with couples and families and believes that every relationship is unique and deserves a type of therapy that tailors to the specific needs of the relationship. She incorporates various methods to her sessions that include techniques from The Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Structural Therapy when working with couples and families. Chasity works to create an environment that is both safe and inviting and to provide an experience where each individual is respected and understood.
